Rally at the State Capitol

Support our Public Schools!

Buses: Free busing will be available in certain areas for anyone attending the rally including departures from the MTEA office in Milwaukee. Rally-goers can express interest in riding a bus when they sign up. Those who express interest will receive additional communications with the bus information. For bus-riders who register and will be traveling over lunchtime, sandwiches and water will be available either at the bus loading or unloading site.

Car Pool Reimbursement: For members who carpool (3 or more people in the vehicle for 60 miles or more roundtrip), WEAC can provide a limited stipend to drivers in the form of an electronic gift card to help offset travel costs. Members must check in to our carpool table on site at the rally and complete a form to be eligible, and will receive the card via email by June 30, 2023. Print out our carpool planning document at the bottom of this email to help organize in your local.

On-Site Activities: Our rally is a celebration of public schools, so plan on a family-friendly great time. Rally-goers will find a creation station to make art, poster-making, face painting and a story telling area to video your stories about why we support this public education budget.
