The U.S. Supreme Court sent the Gill v Whitford case back to the district court, effectively leaving Wisconsin’s unconstitutional election maps in place for the 2018 election. This ruling leaves the onus on Wisconsin to protect voters from gerrymandering for the time being. “The courts didn't fix our current unfair maps, and politicians won't either. We, the people, want fair maps. We do not want partisan politicians to continue fighting over our maps in court and wasting taxpayer money. North Central Organizing Co-op Update: Between Christmas and the New Year, members of the Citizen Action North Central Organizing Co-op worked toward getting PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) resolutions passed in 7 counties, with 3 likely being voted on in the next 1-2 months. This has involved co-op members, from Rusk, Vilas and Oneida counties designing talking points for business owners and elected officials making the case for PACE. These members have then reached out to their County chairs and supervisors about supporting it.
