Mujeres Aliadas Advocates for Health Care Rights
Mujeres Aliadas (Women United) is a non-profit clinic and birth center and midwifery school in the Lake Patzcuaro area of Mexico. The midwives and outreach staff travel to area schools and villages educating and empowering women to take charge of their health and become advocates for their health care rights. This area has poor access to health care, especially for indigenous women.

A short presentation about Mujeres Aliadas will be given at 12pm, followed by lunch featuring traditional Mexican foods.
Shopping will be from 11am to 2pm. Proceeds go directly to Mujeres Aliadas. All pottery, baskets and textiles are handmade and purchased directly from the artisans.
