WAUSAU MAYORAL CANDIDATES NEED TO DEBATE

In a press release today, I made a call for a public debate among the five mayoral candidates. Wausau residents have a right to hear, in a public forum, where each of the five mayoral candidates stands on issues that matter most to residents.

City Hall, under the current administration, has restricted the average resident’s ability to learn about and be involved in local government affairs. The CBL/Wausau Center meeting which only allowed about 20 members of the general public to attend is one recent example.

The people shouldn’t have to beg or demand to be involved in the affairs of Wausau’s government. After all, it’s their government.

These problems under the current administration regarding transparency and resident participation can and will change. You and I will see to that together.
