WARHEADS TO WINDMILLS

Tim Wallis, is traveling across the country this spring to educate more people through his newest book: Warheads to Windmills: Preventing Climate Catastrophe and Nuclear War. As the book title says: our two biggest existential threats–climate breakdown and nuclear weapons–can and must be addressed, both urgently and simultaneously. Tim’s presentation is of interest to several constituencies: Peace and Environmental groups in particular, and has been of great interest in UU churches throughout the state, peace activists, and of course the many politically aware and involved folks throughout Central Wisconsin.  Tim was the Executive Director of Nonviolent Peaceforce, and he also subsequently served as the country director in Sri Lanka.  Tim is now the executive director of Nuclear Ban US based in Massachusetts, which works in partnership with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, the winner of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.
