Be sure to vote Tuesday, August 9 in the primary election for congressional and state legislative races. Be sure to bring your voter ID. It is important to vote.

Your vote matters.

The winner goes to the November 8 ballot.

Early voting (in person absentee voting) began Monday, July 25 and ends Friday, August 5.

Vote at your municipal office.

There is some good news. On July 19, U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman in Milwaukee decided that voters without a Voter ID should be able to cast a ballot by signing an affidavit.

The affidavit states that the signer was unable to get a Voter ID and truly is the person he/she says he is.

This would be in effect for the November 8 election. However, the Wisconsin Department of Justice lawyers are reviewing Adelman’s decision.
