New Survey Asks Your Opinion of Public Tax Dollars Funding Private Schools

School Funding Reform for Wisconsin, Stevens Point, released an online survey on vouchers and public school funding on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.  This survey seeks to engage public school supporters by educating them and empowering them to take action.

In the first 36 hours it was online, 1,150 people took the survey:

  • More than 530 people chose to leave comments related to vouchers and how their school districts are coping with budget cuts, etc.
  • More than 350 people volunteered their email addresses so they can keep informed on developments in Madison affecting our public schools.
  • Over 1,000 zip codes provided show that respondents are from all over Wisconsin.

We hope all of you will take the survey (if you haven’t already!) and share it with your friends, school boards, district administrators, and any groups you belong to that have members who support our public schools.  We will leave the survey open for several weeks.  Here is the link:

All of us have more work to do — we need to keep people informed, and we need to get the survey results to legislators and the public.  School Funding Reform for Wisconsin looks forward to sharing the results with all of you on our website (www.reformwi.org), and could use your help in distributing the results to others.  Ideas are welcome!

Thank you to all of our Wisconsin Public Education Network (WPEN) partners and many other friends who are distributing this survey far and wide. Here’s to the power of networking!
