Mary Burke spoke at a meet-and-greet with the Wausau Women’s Network on Thursday, September 4, at the home of Dr. Bart and Lila Hobson. Donna Seidel asked Burke several pointed questions regarding the gubernatorial candidate’s standpoint on such areas as job creation, education, women’s rights, healthcare reform, and more.

While she addressed each of Donna’s questions in detail, Burke also stressed that the platform she’s running on is built on 3 overarching themes:

  1. Putting the needs of the PEOPLE OF WISCONSIN over the needs of SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
  2. Choosing COMMON SENSE over POLITICS AS USUAL
  3. Ending DIVISIVENESS and instead BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER to come up with the BEST ideas for Wisconsin.

Burke’s main message was one of inclusion, a long-time family value she holds dear. Her sincerity in wanting to be a governor not just OF the people, but FOR the people was evident. You can learn more about Mary Burke’s personal and professional history at www.BurkeForWisconsin.com.
