Congressman Mark Pocan, Madison Mayor, Dane County Executive, and Climate Leaders to Mark the First Anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act and Celebrate the Efficiency Navigator Program 

The event will highlight the IRA’s benefits to Wisconsin and urge Congress to protect investments in climate and clean energy.

Madison, WI – On Wednesday, August 16, Congressman Mark Pocan, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, and Dane County Executive Joe Parisi will join Faith in PlaceHealthy Climate Wisconsin, the National Wildlife Federation and other climate champions at the Wisconsin State Capitol to celebrate the first anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The event, sponsored by the Climate Action Campaign, will highlight the IRA’s historic investments in climate and clean energy and how they are creating jobs and cutting pollution in Madison and across the state of Wisconsin. This will include celebrating the Efficiency Navigator Program in Madison and the Department of Energy’s Home Energy Rebate Program. The Efficiency Navigator Program is a local initiative that provides free energy efficiency and other upgrades to small and medium-sized multifamily housing. The Department of Energy’s home energy rebate program, funded by the IRA, will complement the Efficiency Navigator Program to ensure residents of Madison have opportunities to lower their energy bills.
