Wausau Voters to File Complaint with Department of Justice Following Unwarranted Removal of Drop Box in Wausau by Mayor
Wausau residents join with voting rights advocates to demand a formal federal investigation and an end to the voter suppression attempts following Wausau mayor’s unauthorized removal of the city’s ballot drop box.
MADISON, WI – Wausau voters will appear outside the Department of Justice Office in the Western District of Wisconsin to request an investigation into Mayor Doug Diny’s unwarranted removal of the only ballot drop box in Wausau. The voter suppression tactics being utilized to limit drop boxes are rooted in the Big Lie and are in opposition to Wisconsin values. For years, voters across Wisconsin safely and securely cast their ballots via drop boxes across the state. No matter where we work or what part of the state we call home, working Wisconsinites should be able to vote easily and safely. Making it harder to vote is out of touch with Wisconsin values.
