Outreach Fundraiser
Hello all, We need your help. Please donate. (Links below) We’re gearing up for the winter season. Over the last 5 years we have been making a positive difference for those in need in the community, helping them to survive in the harsh winter elements. We are the only 100% volunteer-based outreach group in the community. Even though we receive a good amount of physical donations, sometimes it isn’t enough, and we need to rely on raised funds to purchase supplies. In the last 2 years we’ve gone from serving 30 people to over 60 on Outreach days. Even though meals are donated, many days we end up buying more food. Our supply money mainly goes towards:
Gloves and hand warmers
Food
Hotel rooms for medical recovery
Food gift cards which allow clients to go inside on a cold day
Bus tokens
Tents and sleeping bags
Generator gas for the warming bus
Socks
Pants
Hoodies
Rent assistance trying to catch people before they fall, or with a security deposit on a new place.
Bus transportation helping people to medical facility.
Parking lot rent/ Marty bus registration and insurance.
We also are working on our Keys to dignity program where people will have a locker to put belongings in a secured locked place. This will help people with an opportunity to utilize other local services without having to choose between securing their belongings and a having a roof over their head at night.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $5000. I know not everyone here has financial resources. So help out with whatever you can.
