WAUSAU AREA PROGRESSIVES MARCH

On February 5 at noon, 75-80 area progressives came together in solidarity to speak up. This was the same day that all 50 capitols in all 50 states gathered on the same day, also known as “50501.”

Are you angry? Are you scared? You should be. The one thing you shouldn’t be is taking any of this sitting down.

Everything we, as WAUSAU AREA PROGRESSIVES, stand for is on the line. If you are not able to join the march at the Capitol in Madison on Wednesday, February 5, (these are happening at each Capitol in each state), you can find us around the 400 Block in Wausau at noon. Please wear something BLUE.

Freedom of Speech, Racial Equity, Election Integrity, Women’s Rights, LGBTQ+, Public Health and Safety, Gun Violence, Climate Change, Wealth Equality, and more.

May we choose justice over retribution. May we seek equality over greed, may we speak in truth over what is false. Let us recognize that love is stronger than hate. Let us find courage. When we meet each other, let us find tolerance.

PLEASE VOTE! Primary Election is February 18 and Spring Election is April 1. Don’t sit this one out.

We will be picking the next Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. The issues coming before them 2025 will likely be continuing redistricting maps, the 1849 abortion law, gun violence, voting rights, and environmental protections, and more.
