Ruminations On The 2022 Wisconsin Elections
There is good news and bad news about this year's upcoming Wisconsin elections. On the positive side, the 7th Congressional district in N.W. Wisconsin finally has a declared Democratic candidate. In the U.S Senate race four good Democratic candidates are pulling ahead in the crowded field. All of them are a breath of fresh air in comparison to the Republican incumbent. Governor Evers should have a good chance at being re-elected given the economy is pretty good and Biden's infrastructure and COVID relief money are helping many people in the state.

Wisconsin Government Belongs to the People, not to a Political Party. Partisan justices on Wisconsin’s supreme court have approved a formula for one-party control of Wisconsin government. They adopted state legislative district maps that were extremely gerrymandered to favor Republicans. The decision enables Republicans to keep continuous control of the legislature for yet another decade. Election Folly
The Republican Party of Marathon County made a request to the County Clerks office seeking information on how Wausau handled the April 5 Spring Election. They wanted to clear up any questions regarding the integrity of the Wausau election. The Marathon County GOP went as far as asking for the names of those who served as election observers, names of people submitting election results and even the internet provider. This is of course their right to ask but I believe they do this to sow seeds of distrust. This request has since been dropped.

Red Springs Votes to Amend the U.S. Constitution
Madison, WI (April 6, 2022) – In the Spring election, Wisconsin residents in the Town of Red Springs voted to amend the U.S. Constitution to clarify that only human beings should have inalienable human rights and money is not the same thing as free speech.
The referendum passed with an 89% majority in Red Springs, which is in Shawano County.
