Starving child we’d once have fed Lay her out with other dead Once our flag meant “safe” and “free” Now it means autocracy.   Diseases we could one day cure Research ended, no one’s sure Our secrets open, now exposed To terrorists and other foes   Humble people, work on farms Shackled, sent to unknown harms Billions more for him and cronies Starts to seem as if they’re phonies
